Hawaii of course has countless large hotels and resorts, but it is also full of incredible B&Bs that will give you much more personal attention and delicious fresh breakfasts! There are B&Bs located on working coffee plantations, near volcanoes, and on the water. Hale Hoola B&B is on the big island of Hawaii and has stunning ocean views. All guests get their own private lanai, and each morning, you'll get fresh Kona coffee, local fruit, and a full breakfast.
The following is a review from a stay at Hale Hoola in July 2011.
"Warm and Friendly Hosts"
The Hale Ho'ola is a warm and friendly place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hosts go out of their way to make you feel at home. Mary is a great cook and serves a delicious breakfast, including coffee and tea, juice, fruit, a sweet, and a hot entree. Bob is friendly and can fill you in on the fun things to do in the area. They are a joy to know, and they quickly make you feel as if you'd known them forever. We just returned from a week's stay there, and I hated to come home. I would recommend the Hale Ho'ola to anyone who wants a comfortable, quiet place to stay, away from the big resorts. If you're looking for glitz and glamour, this isn't the place for you. But if you want friendly hosts, quiet evenings, a clean, comfortable room, and delicious breakfasts, then this is your place.
