While many of us enjoy trying a creative new dish, sometimes nothing sounds better for breakfast than a good ol' plate of pancakes. Below is a photo of Lee's Family Pancakes--a guest favorite at Palmer House Inn in Falmouth, MA. This Queen Anne style B&B in Cape Cod is in a quiet area of Falmouth's Historic District. The inn is close to beaches, shops, and great restaurants.

The Captain Farris House B&B in Bass River Village, Massachusetts was built circa 1849 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but it has been beautifully restored. Each elegant room is individually decorated at this Cape Cod B&B. This glowing review is from a traveler who stayed there in September 2010.
"Truly a treasure"
My husband and I just returned this evening from our fifth stay at Captain Farris House! Each year we can't wait to go back, and it never disappoints us! The house is beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. Nancy, Michael, and the staff are some of the kindest and friendliest people you will ever meet. It is obvious that this is a labor of love as they perform with joy each and every task to make you feel comfortable and special. They never fail to surprise us with some act of thoughtfulness and care! They are also great resources for places to go and see. The rooms are welcoming and beds, linen, and furniture relaxing. One favorite part of each stay is breakfast!!! Nancy cooks an amazingly delicious hot breakfast each morning that is served at romantic couple-size tables. She is always happy to share her recipes with those who ask her. I am anxious to try her oatmeal buttermilk pancake recipe that she gave me yesterday! For us, The Captain Farris House exceeds all expectations! It is a WINNER!! We already find ourselves looking forward to next summer and another wonderful visit to our favorite "home away from home!"
