Review of the Week: Brampton Bed & Breakfast Inn in Chestertown, MD

June 28, 2011 00:33 by Emily

Brampton Bed & Breakfast is a luxurious Diamond Collection inn located in Chestertown, Maryland. The inn is located in a 19th century antebellum plantation on 20 acres. Their guest rooms have en-suite baths with two-person whirlpool tubs, body-jetted showers, steam showers, heated towel bars, and Japanese style ofuro soaking tubs.

The inn currently has an overall perfect rating on BedandBreakfast.com. The following review is from a stay in February 2011:

"What a perfect place to stay!"
We have returned again and again to the Brampton for nearly 20 years. When we need to slow down, to breathe deeply, to spend time with each other, we head to the Brampton. The historic house and the rooms (all different) are beautiful. The location is just out of town so very quiet, yet it is in a very historic part of Maryland, and close to numerous outdoor adventures. The innkeepers are warm, interesting and interested. Breakfast is a delicious feast. The Brampton is so special that it has spoiled us for anything else.

Experience History at Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, MD

June 4, 2011 01:14 by Emily

History buffs will love staying at Antrim 1844, a Pre-Civil War estate located on 24 acres in Historic Taneytown, Maryland. It was built in 1844 and was once a thriving plantation. It is now a beautifully restored B&B that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The property is just 15 minutes from Gettysburg, where you can see famous battlegrounds from the Civil War. It's also only an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.

There are nine guestrooms within the main mansion, but there are 31 other rooms and suites housed in unique outbuildings. All of those rooms have their own fireplaces. Guests can enjoy world class dining at the inn's Smokehouse Restaurant, where you can enjoy a gourmet six-course meal designed by their executive chef. The inn is also home to Pickwick Pub, which serves some of the world's finest cognacs and whiskeys.

Review of the Week: The Wayside Inn Bed & Breakfast in Ellicott City, MD

January 29, 2011 01:12 by Emily

The Wayside Inn Bed & Breakfast in Ellicott City, Maryland currently has an overall perfect rating on BedandBreakfast.com based on 48 reviews. This BedandBreakfast.com Diamond Collection property is located near museums, antique shops, art galleries, museums, and acclaimed restaurants. The inn is also very close to Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

This glowing review was written for a stay this month (January 2011), and the traveler gave the inn a perfect rating.

"Way above and beyond my expectations"
I could not have felt more welcome or comfortable at the Wayside Inn. I slept like a baby in this amazing bed (must buy the sheets), the bathroom was definitely beyond my expectations in a home this old, Wi-Fi was available and easy to connect to, and my breakfast was totally delish (I got the recipes!). The inn is so quiet and peaceful, but I also had a great evening with fellow guests that I met, hanging out in the common area, drinking wine with amazing desserts and great conversation.
