When we asked innkeepers to share holiday decorating ideas, photos and stories with us, Mary Wolters of the Red Horse Inn in Landrum, SC was quick to send us some of her ideas and memories. Mary says "The Red Horse Inn is decorated for the holidays, starting with a special reindeer crossing as guests drive up the driveway!"

Mary adds, "I love creating simple holiday flowers using holly, ivy, leland cypress, babies breath and a rose or petite red carnations. I have two heirloom china figurines that I've had since I was a child. The older angel is scolding the younger one who has a slingshot behind her back! My mother always said it reminded her of my sister and I. Guess which sister was likely to have the slingshot ....just like an innkeeper...with a little bit of creativity and a lot of mischief!"
This winter, guests will enjoy alot of creativity and even a little mischief at the Red Horse Inn. The Winter special includes complimentary bubbly upon arrival, discounted massages and pizza parties and plenty of outdoor fun.
