This week, we're showcasing some of the best riverfront and lakefront Diamond Collection properties, perfect for those who love fishing, boating, swimming and other water sports. Who doesn't want to spend their summer getaway relaxing by the water?

Hot Springs, AR: Lookout Point
With an incredible location on Lake Hamilton, this B&B in the Ouachita Mountains is the perfect place for a summer escape. Outdoor lovers have plenty to do here; you can explore nearby waterfalls, go hiking in the mountains, canoe to the nearby islands, go fly fishing, and more. You can also walk around the property’s waterfront labyrinth trail, or if you want some R&R, hang out on the dock or nap in a hammock. You’re also in a great spot to explore the town of Hot Springs—be sure to bathe in the thermal spring water!

Niagara Falls, NY: Red Coach Inn

Modeled after an inn in England, the Red Coach Inn has been in business since 1923. It is only 1,500 feet from the Niagara River’s American Falls, giving guests an incredible view of the rapids. Red Coach Inn is across the street from the Maid of the Mist at Prospect Point State Park and the Cave of the Winds on Goat Island. The historic boutique hotel is also very close to Niagara Reservation State Park, Niagara Gorge Discovery Center, Devil's Hole State Park, Whirlpool State Park, and the Aquarium of Niagara Falls.

Dandridge, TN: Mountain Harbor Inn--Resort on the Lake
In addition to being built right on the shores of the shimmering Douglas Lake, the Mountain Harbor Inn offers gorgeous views of the Smoky Mountains. This adults-only B&B offers many ways to relax; each guest gets a complimentary romantic sunset cruise and intimate candlelight dinner. If you love to play on the water, you can rent jet skis, pontoon boats, tubes, and bass boats. If you’d rather stay on land, you can bask in the sun on the large deck overlooking the lake. For those who prefer more privacy, you can stay in the tucked away waterfront cabin.

Port Angeles, WA: A Hidden Haven & Water Garden Cottages
Love the great outdoors? A Hidden Haven, located on the Olympic Peninsula, is located just next to the Olympic National Park. The B&B sits on over 20 acres that feature ponds, plants, waterfalls, gardens, wildlife, and on-site nature trails. The inn overlooks a large, beautiful pond with a bridge to a gazebo on the water. It’s also very close to Sol Duc Hot Springs, beaches, tide pools, Hoh Rain Forests, Hurricane Ridge, and Lake Crescent. If you’re sporty, you can go kayaking, hiking, and biking.

Lake Lure, NC: The Lodge on Lake Lure
Located in the Hickory Nut Gorge, Lodge on Lake Lure offers incredible vistas of Lake Lure and the Blue Ridge Mountains. It has a boat dock right on the water, so it’s easy to go boating, swimming, or fishing. The deck on top of the boat dock overlooking the lake and mountains is also a great place to read and relax.  The Lodge is in close proximity to Chimney Rock Park and several golf courses. While you’re in the area, go horseback riding, rafting, biking, or kayaking.
