Rose On The Road - Churchtown, PA

September 3, 2008 09:13 by Rose

As we plot out our trip to the southwest, it hit me that I will not be doing "Leaf Peeping" in the northeast this year. One of my editor picks for our Fall Foliage release in 2007 was the Inn at Twin Linden, and it is still remains a favorite. This comfortably elegant B&B is one we have visited more than once and at different times of the year. Early fall is especially lovely, and it's a great time to visit farm markets, attend fairs, go antiquing and pumpkin picking. Pumpkin picking and enjoying the cornfield maze in nearby Morgantown is a fun adventure that adults can also enjoy in the fall. Innkeepers Sue & Norm Kuestner will be happy to help you plan your day. They are a delight! Detour from the fast lane, unwind on the country roads in Churchtown and just keep pace with the horse and buggies. Then enjoy being pampered back at the inn with fresh flowers, evening cordials and Godiva chocolates in your room.  An imaginative breakfast is is prepared each day by Sue, and Norm serves you at a table set with china, crystal and candles. Breakfast by candlelight can be so romantic. Dinner is served on Saturday evenings so if you book on the weekend, I highly recommend you make a reservation and enjoy a multi-course dinner in the dining room overlooking the gardens which are lit after dark with garden lights.
