Hudson River Rambles

There’s a tremendous amount of stuff to see along New York’s Hudson River between New York City and Albany, and you can do it all on a single tank of gas! We only had time to check out a handful of inviting destinations. Near Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow, we toured the grounds of Kykuit, the Rockefeller Estate; the manicured gardens, museum-quality sculpture, and panoramic visits were amazing! Click here for information on area B&Bs.

Further upriver, we enjoyed a visit to Olanna, the home of landscape painter Frederick Church, and the town of Hudson, where we feasted on Baba Louie’s amazing sourdough pizza and browsed through Hudson’s eclectic antiques emporia. Click here for information on area B&Bs in Hudson, across the river in Catskill, and in the mountains near Windham.
