There's so much content and so many search options on BedandBreakfast.com, sometimes it's helpful for us to point out a few of the gems. One of the goldmines on the site is the Specials Section. It offers hundreds of themed packages, with everything from Babymoons to Wine Lovers Getaways, with Cooking and Crafting, Free Gas, Lavish Luxury, and Shopping packages inbetween.
First and foremost, finding the Specials on BedandBreakfast.com is easy. Once on the home page, simply click on the graphics for the highlighted Specials. Right now, you'll find Free Gas Specials, Halloween Packages and Haunted B&Bs indicated by gas pumps, Pumpkins and Ghosts. These links change quarterly and link to timely package themes. To find the entire list of Special Packages, click on the SEARCH button then choose Special Packages from the Drop Down Menu.
Today I took a stroll through the different packages and found some really fun ideas. The first one, Babymoons, caught my eye. How I wish I'd taken a pre-baby getaway before my first bundle of joy arrived (bundle was the operative word, not joy at first!). Packages listed on BedandBreakfast.com all include massages for Mom and Dad and more. One particularly cute idea from the Mount Victoria B&B Inn entitled Ice Cream and Pickles comes complete with massages, trolley transportation and a pint of your favorite Ben & Jerry’s.
BedandBreakfast.com's Tanks A Lot program has motivated innkeepers to post hundreds of offers for free gas with overnight stays. When we first started this program, $25 in free gas seemed like a lot. Now, the bar has risen. I noticed one package from Auberge Mendocino - Seaside Inn and Cottages in Little River, CA, offering up to $100 in free gas with a three-night stay, based upon a 10% rebate on room costs. They include this clever advice in their description "Use our resources responsibly. Don't guzzle. Tank You Very Much".
When I looked in the Crafting Specials, I found packages and workshops for scrapbooking, spinning, quilting, knitting, crocheting, leatherworking, needlepoint, herbal remedies, photography, t-shirt designing, and self exploration. There are also separate categories for Quilting Workshops and Cooking Schools.
