Ingredients:
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in hot water
- 2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- Two 8" pie shells
1. Mix first 5 ingredients together adding baking soda last. Pour into pie shell.
2. Mix crumbs together (flour, shortening, & brown sugar) with hands and sprinkle on top.
3. Bake at 400F for 10 minutes, then 350 for 50 minutes.
